Bespoke Tailors - Our History

English tailoring has been a coveted luxury that many gentlemen desire for centuries. While bespoke tailoring has become an accepted practice all over the world, Harris & Howard have stayed true to our British roots when it comes to our tailoring style and traditions but with fabrics, choice and style relevant today.

In 2010, noticing a gap in the market for high-quality bespoke suits without the Savile Row price tag, professional clothier Carl Emery decided Harris & Howard Bespoke would be his next venture. When choosing the name, Carl drew inspiration from his beloved grandmothers who faithfully preserved garments during the war and went on to enjoy the fashion explosion of the sixties and seventies.

Carl christened the business using his grandmothers’ maiden names: Harris and Howard.
